1. Selection of lock cylinder

When selecting the lock cylinder, we should make sure whether the lock we need to install is outdoors or indoors. For the former, we suggest that we choose more than 6 lock cylinders with a high safety index. For the indoor lock cylinder, we can choose less than 6 lock cylinders or coin slot lock cylinders without bullets, because in the room, we don't use many lock cylinders when we close the door. It can't be locked, so it's OK to install a simple lock cylinder.

2. Selection of lock body

Usually, the door locks used in the house are mainly multi-mode locks, mainly to improve the function of anti-theft, anti impact and anti cutting. If it is indoor, you can choose single tongue or double tongue locks.

3. Door lock handle

If the door lock is installed and the door is closed, it will be very difficult. That is, the gap between the door leaf and the door frame cannot be maintained. If the rule exceeds the specified range, the door leaf will be squeezed tightly or the size of the door leaf and the door frame is not the same at all, so you must be clear when shopping for locks.

Installation of locks:

1. An experienced carpenter or a master with considerable knowledge of locks shall be employed for installation. And according to the distance template in the product manual, make holes, chisel the support socket, lock plate and lock box holes, so as to make preparations before installation.

2. Check whether the drilled holes are accurate, and strictly follow the steps in the product installation instructions. If it is found that the lock switch is not flexible or cannot be opened after installation, the locksmith shall be consulted in time. The distributor of the product or the technical service department and after-sales service department of the manufacturer, so as to solve the problem.

3. If there is no problem in product installation and inspection, the product shall be unloaded, and the lock shall be reinstalled after the door is painted and dried completely (it is recommended to be more than two or three days). The purpose is to avoid the paint sticking to the lock product, which will affect the appearance and service performance (often because the paint sticks to the lock and makes its transmission inflexible). Because the chemical gas will corrode the product when the paint is not dried completely, the product will be accelerated. The surface treatment changes, affects the appearance and reduces the service life of the lock.

During the decoration of the house, please use plastic bags (do not contact the rubber surface with adhesive tape with the surface of the lock) to seal the exposed parts such as the handle and panel of the lock, so as to prevent the surface treatment layer of the lock from spots, blisters and even delamination caused by the erosion of acid or alkaline materials and gases during the decoration, which seriously affects the appearance quality of the lock.

Lock maintenance:

1. Always keep the transmission part of lock body lubricated to keep its transmission smooth and extend its service life. It is recommended to check once half a year or once a year, and at the same time check whether the fastening screws are loose to ensure fastening.

2. In the process of using the lock head, regularly (half a year or a year) or when the key is not inserted smoothly, a small amount of graphite powder or pencil powder can be applied into the lock cylinder groove to ensure that the key can be inserted smoothly. But do not add any other oil for lubrication, so as to avoid the grease sticking to the spring of the spring, resulting in the lock can not rotate and can not be opened.

3. Regularly check the fit clearance between the lock body and the locking plate, whether the high-low fit of the locking tongue and the locking plate hole is appropriate, and the fit clearance between the door and the door frame is 1.5mm-2.5mm. If any change is found, adjust the position of the hinge or lock plate on the door. At the same time, pay attention to the cold shrinkage and heat expansion caused by the weather (wet in spring and dry in winter), so as to ensure that the gap between the door and the door frame, the lock body and the lock plate is reasonable, so as to ensure the smooth use of the lock. Specifically, you can ask the manufacturer's person directly when you buy.

4. In normal use, if there is dirt, it can be removed with dry cloth. Do not use detergent and other chemicals to scrub. Otherwise, the protective film of exposed parts will be damaged, causing discoloration. Do not use a wet cloth to wipe the lock body and handle, because some metal locks will rust; alloy locks will wear off the coating and lose the beautiful effect. Some locks made of zinc alloy and copper will be found with "spots" when they are installed on the door for a long time. Such phenomenon does not belong to rust, but to oxidation. If this happens, the spots can be removed by spraying with surface wax.
